How to Use the Day Planner

In this guide, we will walk you through the steps to effectively use the Day Planner from the Bookings page.

Navigation and Quick Actions

  • Select the Day Planner from the Bookings page.

  • Use the top navigation bar to view periods, areas, and booking types.

  • To complete all previous bookings quickly, click the Complete All Bookings and Pass button in the toolbar. A pop-up window will appear; click Complete to finalize the process.

  • Use the refresh button to update the planner with new information.

Date and Time Management

  • Use the Date Selector to navigate between days.

  • To block out specific times, areas, or days, select the Blockout option. Choose the times you want to mark as closed and click the Exit Closeout button at the top right.

Searching and Reporting

  • To find a booking, click the magnifying glass icon in the top navigation bar and type the customer's name in the search bar.

  • View the Daily Stats Report by selecting the allocated icon. For a more detailed report, choose the Daily AI Report and click on Generate Report.

Views and Downloads

  • In the drop-down menu, you can download your planner and toggle cancelled and no-show bookings on or off.

Editing Bookings

  • To edit a walk-in booking, select the reservation in the timeline. Update the party size, times, and duration of the booking. You can also update the booking status.

  • Use the edit icon to update the booking. After updating the customer's details, check the table numbers. Once satisfied, click Continue and then Update to save changes.

Managing New Bookings

  • Select the booking from the list view to see any internal notes for the customer.

  • To resend the confirmation email, click the paper plane icon.

  • To view or add internal notes, click the Internal Notes icon and save any changes.

  • To view the complete booking history, click on the Booking History icon.

  • For direct communication with the customer, click the Message Customer icon.
